I recently purchased a Canon EOS Rebel T3. it was my first truely professional camera, and so far it has served me well. i only recently got more into photography, and im not quiet sure what sparked my interest in it. since then, i have taken over 2500 pictures, only a few hundred of which have made it to the internet.
I currently use an EF-S 18-55 IS II lens, which suits most of my needs, but i hope to upgrade at some point to a more powerful telephoto lens. By far however, the best investment i have made so far was a $15 tripod, that as cheesy as it is, has done more for me than i ever thought possible.
Recently at a party, i was able to try out an 18-250 telephoto lens on an older style Canon Rebel. The pictures it took were amazing, but the price tag was big. The individual who owned it said he bought it in Mexico, and had no problems with it thus far. perhaps on my next trip over the border i will do the same.
