Some Pictures To Fill The Void

Having not posted to my blog in several days, I decided it was time to give you all something to look at. The following is a collection of some of my favorite photos from these past few months with explanations of when and were they were taken. Enjoy!

This is a shot of the fall foliage near one of my favorite hang out spots in Attleborro Ma. Some friends and I were off to do parkour at the "Concrete Playground" and when i saw this i had 2 stop and try to capture the moment.

One afternoon while I eating lunch at work in Charlestown RI. it started to rain. At first i thought nothing of it, but when i saw my camera in the backseat, i couldn't pass up the moment. i took maybe 20 pictures in a 30 min span, but this is the only one that made the cut.

One chilly afternoon, -3 to be exact, while exploring with my friend Ademan, we happened to stumble upon this little music box shaped like an old record player. I shot a few different angles of this, but this image really stood out. I had one with the whole player in focus, but i like the fade from one angle to the other.

These two were from an abandoned waste water treatment facility I explored with Ademan on the same day as the mill with the music box. The first photo is of some jars that happened to be sitting on a heater near the door we entered. I tried to accent the jars in contrast with the nasty green walls and the decaying gray heater unit. The second photo is also from the same location. The was a wall of buttons, switches and indicators near by some valves and pipes. Ademan had shot a similar photo some years back, and I decided to attempt to recreate a similar effect. i was happy with the result.

Some people may recognize this as the photo I won a weekly photo contest with. I am very proud of this particular shot. I had only had my Cannon Rebel T3 for a few weeks when i took this shot, and it was the first time i really played with depth and shadows in the same shot. I have had many people comment on this photo both online and in person, and it really makes me smile.

This last shot I took on a rooftop in Providence one night at around 230am with Adman, Dimitri, and Little Mike. It was a pretty cloudy night, and the moon was full, so the colors of the skyscrapers appeared almost eerie. It was almost like a scene from a scary movie....almost.
